She is a full professor of Pharmaceutical Technology. She is interested on nanomedicine and in particular in the design and development of nanosystems, in nanocarrier – cell interactions, in tissue engineering (development of innovative platforms for tissue engineering), in bioadhesion mechanisms, in the development of bioadhesive drug delivery systems and penetration enhancers. Moreover she is focused on the development of modified- release drug delivery systems and also in the characterization of new biomaterials and novel foods from insects; in vitro characterization of biocompatibility, proinflammatory activity, antioxidant properties of
biomaterials.
